Palestinian - Egyptian committee to discuss peace, economic cooperation

The third session of the Palestinian - Egyptian high joint committee is to be convened on Sunday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and last for two days.
The Egyptian side will be headed by Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and the Palestinian side by Palestinian Minister of International Cooperation Nabil Shaath.
Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Sayed Abu Zied said consultations will take place regarding the latest developments in the Middle East peace process, especially on the Palestinian track, as well as the situation in the area in general.
He also said that in the economic field, the meeting will review what has been implemented since the meetings of the previous session, held in Gaza in April 1998, especially concerning the agreements signed to encourage and protect investments, commercial agreements, commercial exchange, the existing obstacles and attempts to find solutions to overcome them, as well as establishing a joint council for Palestinian and Egyptian businessmen.
