Jordan, Politics, 3/11/1999
The Jordanian Parliament on Wednesday refused the written resignation submitted by Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh from the membership of the parliament following his selection to head the new Jordanian government.
Speakers at the Parliament's session held on Wednesday said the constitution does not prevent linking between a ministry and membership in the parliament.
Following the confirmation, al-Rawabdeh stressed his unlimited desire to strengthen and foster cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities.
