Palestinian woman nominated for European Parliament

The ruling Socialist Party in Belgium has for the first time nominated a Palestinian woman who resides in Belgium, Fatimah Shabaan, on the list of the party to the European Parliament elections to be held in June. Shaaban called upon all Palestinian women to be involved in politics.
Shaaban was born in Shaab village in the Galilee. She is married to a Belgian and an activist in the ruling Socialist Party in Brussels, Israel Radio reported.
