A draft project to cancel the Camp David peace treaty between Egypt and Israel

The Egyptian al-Ahram al-Arabi magazine said that seven members at the Egyptian parliament has prepared a draft law provides for canceling the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel signed in April 1979 together with its appendixes.

In its recent issue, the magazine added that the draft law will be submitted to the Egyptian people's Assembly ( parliament) on Saturday for discussion. In a memorandum the draft law said that the Israeli flagrant violations give the justifications to cancel the treaty. It added that these violations reached their peak when Netanyahu announced that Egypt is the Southern enemy to Israel, besides the Israeli behaviors which violate the provisions of the treaty, the group asserts.

The parliamentarians said that these behaviors started with spying and continued efforts to implant spies in Egypt and in exporting drugs and forged currency in order to destroy the Egyptian economy and youth. In their memorandum, the Egyptian parliament member noted the treaty is not legal, constitutionally speaking because it has an odd provision saying that it the term of the agreements is indefinite ( valid for ever), a matter which is in contradiction to the valid norms the international law which set a certain term for agreements.

The Parliamentarians added that Israel's owning of mass destruction weapons violates the provisions of the treaty, thereby the behavior of Israel makes it necessary to abrogate this treaty immediately.
