France denies visit of Netenyahu's advisor to Paris
Regional-France, Politics, 3/8/1999

A French official refused to confirm reports broadcast by Israeli Army Radio regarding the arrival of Uzi Arad, the diplomatic advisor of the Israeli prime minister, in Paris to hold talks regarding conditions for Israel's withdrawal from south Lebanon with French officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to give any details about Israeli diplomatic communications.

A French official indicated to ArabicNews.com the existence of a link between the current status in south Lebanon and the peace process deadlock, confirming the existence of essential problems.

The French official called for the resumption of talks on Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinian Authority, which are currently stalled.

He also blamed Israeli officials for the current crisis in the area.
