Oman sill maintains close relations with Israel

Chairman of the Arab Gulf department at the Israeli Foreign Ministry David Roger has unveiled that representatives from Oman has participated in symposiums recently held in the city of Eilat to discuss issues pertaining to waters desert agriculture and irrigating areas suffering from law rainfall.
In an interview with the Israeli radio on Friday, Roger added that countries such as Libya, Syria and Iran are trying to pressure Oman in order to close the Israeli offices in its territories, adding that despite this pressure, Oman decided not to severe relations with Israel.
Roger indicated that Oman's Minister of State Youssef Bin Alawi hopes that the M.E. peace process will be reactivated, a matter which will pave the way for strengthening relations between Israel and Oman.
