Syria is persistent in considering Iskandaroun Sanjak as it own

The Turkish daily Hurriyet said on Friday that Damascus is still persistent in considering "Hatai" district "Iskandaroun Sanjak" as a Syrian province. The paper noted that Syria is not willing to give its demands pertaining to the Southern Turkish district "Hatai," noting that the Syrian TV channels still show "Hatai" as part of Syria in its Weather forecast news. The Turkish daily concluded as saying that Damascus "still clings to its stand despite warnings addressed by Turkey in this respect."
