Kuwait released prisoners arrive in Jordan

Eight Jordanian citizens who were imprisoned in Kuwait since 1991 arrived in Jordan yesterday after Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jabir al-Ahmed al-Sabah pardoned them on Thursday.
The eight Jordanian citizens, 7 men and one woman, were accused of dealing with Iraq during its occupation of Kuwait in August 1990 - February 1991, along with another 298 prisoners.
The release of the Jordanian prisoners comes after a resumption in relations between Jordan and Kuwait after they were negatively affected due to the Gulf crisis where Jordan supported Iraq against Kuwait.
