AL continues efforts to clear Arab - Iraqi problem

Arab League Assistant Secretary General Ahmad Bin Hali has asserted continued efforts made by the Arab League and the Arab states to purify Arab atmospheres and restore reconciliation between all Arab states. He asserted the need to continue efforts in order to lift the sanctions imposed on the people of Iraq.
Bin Hali, who arrived Thursday at dawn in Baghdad, told Monte Carlo radio that he is carrying a message from AL Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid to the Iraqi leadership pertaining to Arab efforts aimed at solving the Iraqi crisis and ending the sufferings of the Iraqi people.
Bin Hali added that the message relates to the forthcoming meeting of the Arab follow-up committee concerning Iraq, set up by the recent meeting of the Cairo Arab foreign ministers council.
Bin Hali started his talks in Baghdad by meeting with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz.
