Gaddafi in Cairo on Friday
Libya-Egypt, Politics, 3/3/1999

Libyan sources in Cairo told ArabicNews.com today that Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi will visit Cairo on Friday for two days to fulfill the invitation made by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

During the visit, Gaddafi will met with high-ranking Egyptian officials. The sources said Gaddafi is going to meet the Egyptian president for consultations regarding the latest developments in the Lockerbie case in light of the United Nations Security Council's last resolution giving Libya a period of one month to deliver the two suspects.

The sources added that the two leaders will discuss the developments of the situation regarding Iraq and studying the invitation directed by Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the Arab leaders to convene an Arab summit in which Iraqi President Saddam Hussein would participate to discuss turning the pages of the past and opening a new page in inter-Arab relations.
