Free trade exchange between Yemen and Jordan

Yemen and Jordan have agreed to activate a memorandum of understanding endorsed last year concerning the establishment of a free trade exchange region between them.

Meanwhile Jordanian Minister of Trade and Industry Mohammed Saleh al-Hourani, who is currently visiting Sanaa at the head of a trade delegation comprising representatives of 35 industrial and commercial companies, said the two states have formed a joint group of experts in order to set up an executive formula for establishing a free trade zone.

Yemeni Minister of Trade and Supply Abd al-Aziz al-Kumaim said that Yemen seeks an increase in the volume of its exports to Jordan in the coming period and the establishment of joint investment projects on the agenda of the first meeting for businessmen in Yemen and Jordan in the presence of officials from industrial and commercial chambers and specialized ministers.
