Acts of violence continue in Algeria

The Algerian daily al-Youm said on Monday that 10 members of the municipal guard were killed and another 10 citizens were kidnapped during confrontations that took place with the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) in Medea province. The paper noted that the GIA carried out major theft operations on cattle in al-Darra municipality and were confronted by members of the municipal guard.
