Solidarity rally with Iraq condemns Arab official stances
Iraq-Iraq, Politics, 3/2/1999

An Arab solidarity rally with Iraq has condemned at the conclusion of its works the Arab official stances which constitute a cover for the US and Zionism to continue their aggressions against Iraq and the continuation of sanctions on Iraq.

The participants in the rally expressed the non-satisfaction with the results of the recent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers held in Cairo and viewed it as do not meet the minimum ambitions of the Arab people, rather it was a legal cover for continuing the aggression against Iraq.

SANA reported that the said Arab solidarity rally called at conclusion of its works in Baghdad on Sunday night for immediate lifting of the sanctions off Iraq as a national duty.

Representatives of more than 85 Arab vocational organizations from more than 10 Arab states who took part in the rally called upon the UN Security Council to halt the US - British aggression on Iraq. They voiced support for the right of Iraq to be compensated for human and material losses inflicted on its as a result of the aggression.

The statement, which was issued by all Iraqi dailies on Monday, condemned the US, British aggression and the imposing of no-fly zones in the northern and southern parts of Iraq as violating the sovereignty of Iraq.
