Battles continue between Eritrea and Ethiopia

Fighting continued on Monday between Ethiopian and Eritrean troops on the Western front of Padmi. AFP quoted the chairman of the Eritrean presidential office as saying that Sunday's confrontations were not halted until nightfall, after the Eritrean forces inflicted heavy losses on the Ethiopian forces. On Sunday, Ethiopia announced that it had achieved complete victory against the Eritrean forces in Padmi district on the Western front.
