Syrian president speaks by phone with Lahoud

Syrian President Hafez al-Assad on Monday made a telephone call to Lebanese President Emile Lahoud. During the telephone conversation talks dealt with "recent developments in the region and the situation in south Lebanon in light of the Israeli aggression and threats," SANA reported.
