Egyptian minister of economy reviews economic reform and development

In a symposium on "Financing the future and the Egyptian- British partnership" which was held at the British embassy in light of the visit of London's Lord Mayor Lord Levene of Portsokin to Egypt, which is to be concluded today, Egyptian Minister of Economy Butros Ghali reviewed Egypt's current economic and financial policies and how to upgrade them within the framework of economic and structural reform and the application of market mechanisms according to international economic development.

Moreover Lord Levene of Portsokin tacked the influence of the united European currency, the euro, and its effects on Egypt.

Levene is considered representative of financial corporations in London, is accompanied by a delegation of high finance officials including the head of the London's stock market, John Kemp-Welch.

Meanwhile, Lord Levene confirmed the importance that British financial corporations give to upgrading their partnership with their Egyptian counterparts and discussing the role that the financial community in London could play in Egyptian financial activity to push financial relations between the two countries forward.

London is considered the second greatest foreign investor in Egypt, and several Egyptian companies are listed on the London stock market.
