Morocco set up Organizing Committee of Women's World March

Morocco has set up an organizing committee to prepare for the women's World March in 2000.

The committee gathers representatives of women associations, human rights organizations, youth associations, women branches of political parties.

The committee stressed that the march will enable women to mark the new millennium and to show their resolve to change the world and end the ages of discrimination, humiliation and injustice against women.

From March 8 (world women's day) through October 17, (world anti-poverty day) 2000, women throughout the world will march simultaneously to denounce poverty, discrimination and violence.
