Israeli commander admits the success of the Lebanese resistance

Commander of the Israeli paratrooper contingent in the Israeli Army, Col. Gaishoun Yitzhak, has stated that the Lebanese resistance uses the element of surprise in its operations against the Israeli Army in south Lebanon.

In a statementhe made on Wednesday to Israel Radio, Yitzhak pointed out that despite the superiority of the Israeli army in numbers and equipment, it is evident that the Lebanese resistance had succeeded in using the "element of surprise," and the resistance returned safely after the battle that took place on Tuesday in which three Israelies were killed and at least five wounded.

Yitzhak added that investigations were opened to learn about the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
