El-Bashir's approval for south Sudan's dissention shows lack of loyalty says official
Sudan, Politics, 2/25/1999
Farouk Abu Isah, the official spokesman of the Sudanese opposition Democratic National Assembly accused Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir of not being loyal to his nation due to Bashir's statements suggesting his approval of a separate south Sudan.
Abu Isah said Bashir did not adhere to Sudan's sovereignty, unity and dignity.
Abu Isah said this is the real position of the Islamic front under the leadership of Hassan El-Turabi, which the front kept urging for a long time as it prefers the establishment of El-Turabi's republic to the nation's unity.
Abu Isah addressed this in a declaration yesterday on president El-Bashir's statement, in which El-Bashir said that Sudan's division is preferable to continuing civil war.
