International union for terrorism victims holds constituent symposium in Algeria
Regional-Algeria-International, Politics, 2/25/1999

The works of the symposium for the international union of victims of terrorism's constituent organizations began yesterday in Algeria, in which representatives of these organizations in Spain, Ireland, Italy, and France and representatives of five Algerian organizations for the families of terrorism victims will attend.

The symposium is expected to declare the establishment of a world union that will seek to boost efforts to combat terrorism and to stand beside terror victims, as well as encouraging the establishment of information networks and exchanging experience against terrorism.

Meanwhile, the United States asked the Algerian government and political parties to invite international inspectors to supervise the Algerian presidential elections to be held in April.

Algeria stated its refusal to the American request through Minister of Information Abd El-Aziz Rehabi.
