Iraq confronts hostile planes near Baghdad

An Iraqi military statement said that hostile forces shelled targets yesterday in Baghdad province, which led to the death of one person and the injury of others.
The Iraqi statement said that the hostile planes came close to Baghdad, but were confronted with anti-aircraft artillery and the hostile planes were forced to escape.
The statement added that while the planes were retreating, they attacked targets in Baghdad province, adding that this shelling led to the death of one person and injuries to other Iraqi citizens.
The sound of anti-aircraft fire was heard in Baghdad yesterday after the sounding of warning sirens.
