Last 8 Jordanians arrested in Kuwait freed

The wife of one of the Jordanians who was detained in Kuwait said that Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah issued a pardon to eight Jordanians, who are the last Jordanians to ramain jailed in Kuwait since the Gulf War in 1991.
The wife, who abstained from being identified, said her husband talked to her by telephone on Tuesday from Kuwait and told her the decision of the "pardoning," which will be implemented today on the occasion of Kuwait's national day.
The woman quoted her husband as saying that the eight Jordanian prisoners were taken to the migration center awaiting for the "official declaration of the pardon" in order to return to their country.
