Jordanian King confers with Arab investors

King Abdullah of Jordan met on Wednesday in Amman with several Arab investors and members of the Jordanian al-Iskan (housing) Bank council, who represent Arab and Islamic countries.
King Abdullah stressed the role played by economic policy in developing the private sector and in encouraging investment. He noted Jordan's support and encouragment for Arab investment in the economic and development projects carried out in Jordan, as well as giving all facilities before Arab investors in the context of bilateral joint cooperation among the Arab states.
Members of the visiting delegation spoke about the banking sector in the Arab states and the need to strengthen the role played by Arab banking establishments in encouraging Arab investments inside the Arab homeland.
