Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday continued their attacks on Lebanese towns close to the occupied strip of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli bombardment targeted the towns and areas of al-Sawannah, Majdal Suloum, al-Jemejmieh, Toulin, al-Ghandouriyah, Qaladya and al-Qeseya valley.

The bombardment was accompanied by machine-gun fire on Farroun, al-Ghanouriyah, Qaqet al-Jisr and the outskirts of Zouter East and Zouter West.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance attacked four positions of the occupation forces inside the occupied strip of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said one of its groups attacked an Israeli force in Markaba, using light machine guns, adding that the confrontation lasted for more than one and a half hours. The statement added that the occupation forces summoned armored fortifications to the battlefield.

The Lebanese resistance statement added that another resistance group attacked Israeli armored vehicles in Beer Klab and a third resistance group attacked the Israeli position in Sujoud, whereas a fourth resistance group attacked Israeli moves in the surroundings of the Hamid position. The statement added that direct hits were scored.

Meanwhile, fierce confrontations took place on Wednesday between the Lebanese resistance and a joint Israeli - South Lebanon Army militia group in the surroundings of the town of Markaba in the eastern sector of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said its men used mortar bombs and machine-guns in these confrontations and that direct hits were scored.
