Cairo hosts Arab information experts' meeting

A team of Arab information experts discussed in a two-day meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo means of creating a "hotline" for exchanging information and informatics between the Arab states.

Arab information experts from Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Yemen, Sudan and Egypt took part in the meeting.

The AL's assistant secretary general for information affairs, Muhab Muqbil, said the meeting comes in the context of implementing the decision taken by the Arab information ministers council in its recent meeting in Algeria.

The Syrian delegation to the meeting presented a report highlighting the importance of the project as regarding the use of up to date information and informatics broadcast technologies as to enhance inter-Arab capabilities in the 21st century.
