Morocco Attends Preparatory Meeting of Parliament Speakers Conference

Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Abdelouahed Radi, is taking part in Vienna in the preparatory meeting of the International conference of Parliament Speakers scheduled for Year 2000 at the UN headquarters.
The two-day preparatory meeting, which started Monday, will set the agenda of the conference that will deal with the role of parliaments in fostering world peace, democracy and development.
The preparatory committee will hold another meeting in Morocco next September 8-9. The committee is composed of parliament speakers of Morocco, South Africa, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bangladesh, Chile, Egypt, Spain, Russia, Italy, Jordan, Pakistan, Romania, Sweden and a representative of the UN secretary general.
