Tunisian prime minister in Portugal today to enhance cooperation

Tunisian Prime Minister Hamed Karoui is heading today for a two-day official visit to Portugal to fulfill an invitation from his Portuguese counterpart.
Tunisian sources said that this visit comes in the attempt to activate bilateral cooperation and in the continuous consultations between Tunisia and members of the European Union.
Tunisia has sought in recent years to establish developed relations with the countries of northern bank of Mediterranean Sea, especially Italy, Spain and Portugal, within a part of the Maghrebean - Mediterranean discussion known as the 5 + 5 discussion, in addition to relations with France and Malta which were halted following the Lockerbie crisis in 1988.
