Some 25 Somalis die of starvation in three days

Somali officials said on Monday that some 25 persons died during the past three days. Southern Somalia and that many others are threatened by deaths because of a shortage of food and medicine. Somali officials said that 14 persons died on Friday due to a shortage of food in the Gala district. These include 9 children who were less than five years old. The medical official in the area said another 11 persons died of hunger in Pakoul district.
