Mubarak arrives in Rome

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived on Monday in Rome, his first leg of a tour during which he will also visit Germany. During his visit, Mubarak will meet with his Italian counterpart, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, and Prime Minister Maseimo Dalema.

In an interview with the Italian daily Correri Dela Serra, published before his arrival in Rome, the Egyptian president warned the Europeans and the Americans about the consequences of the current situation of the Middle East peace process.
