Iran hosts symposium on the Gulf's current status and future prospects

The Gulf 9th symposium under the title "The Gulf: the current status and future prospects" opened today in Tehran. The chairman of the political and international studies office at the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that some 60 intellectuals from various parts of the world are taking part.
The participants are from Syria, Egypt, Britain, Sweden, Iraq, India, Lebanon, Bahrain, Iran and Kuwait and will deliver lectures on the current status of the Gulf and its future prospects.
