Mubarak to visit Washington in April

Arrangements are currently underway to convene a summit between US President Bill Clinton and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Diplomatic sources in the US embassy in Cairo expect that Mubarak's visit to Washington may take place in April.
The two presidents consulted regarding the summit's date and agenda during a short dialogue between them on the margins of King Hussein's funeral in Amman.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Egyptian businessmen is to pay a visit to Washington this week to discuss activating private sector relations between the two countries.
The Egyptian - American presidential consultative council will be convening on the margins of the expected summit to present economic recommendations to the summit.
