Lebanon, Politics, 2/20/1999
Before his visit to Cairo today, Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss has termed as "excellent" Lebanon's ties with Egypt, with reference to his country's desire to upgrade these ties in all domains.
Concerning the developments taking place in the region and the reflections of the Israeli elections' outcomes on Lebanon, al-Hoss said "We don't give a special importance to the outcomes of these elections, because we have greatly suffered under the regime of the Israeli Larbor party and Likud party."
Concerning Syrian - Lebanese relations and the Syrian presence insider Lebanese territories, al-Hoss said Lebanon seeks for the Syrian forces in Lebanon to push ahead for stability and support the Lebanese position to face the Israeli occupation.
