Al-Hoss: Improvement in Egyptian - Lebanese relations

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss is due to arrive in Cairo on a three-day formal visit on Saturday, during which he will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri, Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguig.

Al-Hoss, described Lebanon's relations with Egypt as improved, specifically after economic agreements were strengthened.

He added that the decision to visit different Arab states, starting with Saudi Arabia and including Egypt, came to review Lebanese point of view toward the Israeli occupation and the necessity of applying UN Security Council resolution 425, affirming the unity of the Lebanese and Syrian peace tracks and acquainting the states he visits with the movements of the new era and the Lebanese government's policy in all fields.
