4.7 million tourists visited Tunis

Tunisian Minister of Tourism Salah El-Din Moawi who is currently visiting Cairo said that the Tunisian tourism market was able to attract 4.7 million tourists to visit Tunisia, who spent nearly $2 billion and among whom were one million German tourists while the rest were mostly from Europe.
The minister also said Tunis made a plan to attract Arab tourists who prefer spending their vacations in Egypt, Syria and Lebanon among the Arab states or France, England and Italy among European countries.
Moawi added that Arab tourism investments in Tunisia is 10% of the total investments in Tunisian tourism and that 90% of these investments are Kuwaiti and Saudi, while the rest from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Morocco and Libya.
