Seven Egyptian electricity companies to be raised for sale

Egyptian Minister of Electricity Maher Abaza said that a percentage of seven Egyptian electricity companies' shares will be raised for general subscription (stocks).
The stocks will be made available after the completion of an evaluation of their assets during the current year through a specialized foreign bureau in association with Egypt.
The minister told ArabicNews.com that the Egyptian electricity sector is planning to establish 13 stations for generating electricity during the coming ten years on the B.O.T. (Build-Operate-Transfer) system in addition to projects for an electricity link for the eastern and western Arab states, pointing to the beginning of operations for the links between Egypt and Jordan and between Egypt and Libya.
He also stated that there is a link between Morocco and Europe that will create a unified electricity net for the Mediterranean sea's countries.
