Morocco hosts Arab meeting on electricity

The Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministers Council in charge of Electricity will meet in Morocco this Feb. 17-18 to review a number of electricity projects in the Arab world and ways of enhancing the exchange of experiences and data.
The agenda of the two-day gathering also includes assessment of the progress made in the connection of some Arab power grids, the unification of strategies, terminology, safety norms in addition to the needed investments to carry out several electrification projects.
Participants will also discuss the role and importance of electricity in the socio-economic development process, renewable energies and the possibility of carrying out joint arab power projects.
