Egyptian minister of tourism: 3.5 million tourists visited Egypt last year

Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mamdouh Beltagi stated that Italy sent the most tourists to Egypt 1998. The tourism sector achieved a progress in brining back the out flow as Egypt was visited by nearly 3.5 million tourists in 1998.
This came during the meeting between Beltagi with an Italian delegation including state officials and members of the Italian Parliament in convening the annual conference for C.T.S. Italian company, which was held in Cairo yesterday.
