Sudan to begin pumping petroleum at the end of June

The representative of Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company, Badawy, announced that the company will begin to pump Sudanese petroleum for export on June 30, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the coup d'etat of 1989.
Sudanese newspapers reported yesterday representative's statement that the multinational consortium is ready to pump 150,000 barrels of petroleum daily from 100 barrels in the Muglad Basin, the largest petroleum field in Sudan in East Kordofan.
