Beirut conference to tackle land mines

Beirut is to host an international conference on the dangers of land mines at UNESCO headquarters under the patronage of Lebanese Minister of Defense Ghazi Zaytar. 28 countries are expected to participate in the two-day conference.
Additionally, Lebanese security officials, university leaders, doctors' unions, engineers, lawyers, and pharmacies and the owners of private hospitals will participate.
