Libya sees Israeli threat in Africa

Libya has warned against "Zionist intervention" in the internal affairs of the African continent and the attempt to escalate conflicts and disputes and to destabilize the region.

This statement was made on Tuesday in Tripoli by the spokesman of the people's general committee for foreign relations and international cooperation (the foreign ministry) commenting on reports which recently asserted that "the Zionists provide the West Africa region with weapons, especially in Sierra Leone, where an armed conflict is taking place, threatening the security and stability of the region and the African continent as a whole."

The Libyan spokesman called upon the Africans to be aware of the "Zionist conspiracies" hatched against them and called for confronting these challenges.
