Second Austrian parliament speaker arrives in Damascus

The second speaker for the Austrian Parliament Heinrich Nicer will arrive in Damascus on Wednesday for a five-day official visit to Syria at the invitation of the speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Abdul Qader Qaddoura.
The Austrian official will be accompanied by an official delegation from the parliament and will hold talks with Qaddoura and high-ranking Syrian officials.
The visiting official will visit the Austrian contingent in the Golan serving within the UNDOF for 25 years. The visiting official will deliver a lecture at Damascus University about the Middle East and challenges facing the EU. He will visit several archaeological sites in Syria.
