Israel opposes Palestian plan to convene Geneva Convention

The Israeli Foreign Ministry's spokesman said that a Palestinian request at a UN General Assembly emergency session today for a session of the Geneva Convention to discuss the conditions in Palestinian areas constitutes a "gross violation" of Israeli-Palestinian peace agreements.
