The Yemeni source attributed this measure to the recent security developments that took place in Yemen following arrest of terrorists carrying "British passports, who arrived into the Yemeni territories from London."

In a press conference he held on Wednesday in Damascus, Syrian Information Minister Muhammad Salman announced that this step came to "reflect the important national role played by Syria and to make its stances known to the whole world."
