Moroccan-German talks will focus on Mideast peace and Morocco's role

Speaker of the Bundestag, lower chamber of the German parliament, Wolfgang Thierse, will focus in his talks with Moroccan officials during his visit this February 10 on peace in the Middle East and Morocco's role in promoting rapprochement between peoples of the region.
According to a German parliament source, the German official who will visit Morocco as part of an African tour that will first lead him to Mali will also review with Moroccan officials bilateral relations at the political and legislative levels and prospects of peace in the Middle East.
In Casablanca, Thierse will visit the King Abdelaziz Foundation, an institution of Islamic studies and research and confer with Moroccan Islamic theologians on means to promote dialogue and coexistence between different religions and cultures.
The Bundestag speaker is scheduled to meet the Moroccan prime minister, the speakers of the two legislative bodies, the minister of economy and finance and the minister of culture.
