El-Baz: Egypt will do its utmost to prevent division of Iraq

In a symposium at the Cairo International Book fair yesterday evening the Egyptian president's political advisor, Osama El-Baz, stated that Egypt is against the division of Iraq and is going to use all its power in all countries to prevent this division.

El-Baz added that dividing Iraq will result in great danger, pointing out that Turkey is standing with Egypt in this regard, as dividing Iraq means dividing Turkey too. There are more than 10 million Kurds from Turkey in Iraq.

El-Baz added that at the same time Iraq should implement United Nations decisions and be committed to practices that go with the idea of Arab national security and stop threatening its neighbors because this provokes the great powers to strike it.

Moreover, El-Baz backed the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state and that no one should object to it, especially Israel, saying that the Palestinian people are the owners of the decision to use this right at their discretion at the appropriate time and with the preferable means.
