Over 29,000 Moroccan Pilgrims to Head for Islam's Holy Shrines in Saudi Arabia

More than 29,000 Moroccan nationals will perform the annual pilgrimage in the Muslim holy shrines in Saudi Arabia, where over two million pilgrims from the world will flock this year, the Moroccan press reported.
In order to ensure better pilgrimage conditions, the Moroccan authorities took a package of measures aimed at sparing the Moroccan believers the transportation and accommodation hardships experienced in the previous pilgrimage seasons, the Moroccan press said.
The Authorities will also increase the share of travel agencies allowed to organize the trip of Moroccan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, Al-Ittihad Al-Ichtiraqi daily said, quoting sources from the Islamic affairs and habous (islamic endowments) ministry.
Some 118 travel agencies were selected to convey 7,000 pilgrims against 71 agencies last year.
