German foreign minister visits Egypt, Israel, several Arab states

The spokesman of the German embassy in Cairo, Christian Rusimiliar, said that German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer's coming visit to Egypt constitutes part of his tour of the region that is to begin on February 10 and include Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza and Israel.
During his visit to Egypt, Fischer will hold talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa on bilateral relations and cooperation between Egypt and the European Union, as Germany heads the current session of the EU.
The German foreign minister is to be accompanied by the European Union peace process envoy Miguel Moratinos and European officials.
