75,000 passengers between Aqaba and Tel Aviv by air

Statistics released by Jordanian Royal Airways said the number of passengers transported by the company in 1998 between Aqaba and Tel Aviv increased by more than three times, amounting to 75,000 in comparison to 21,000 passengers in 1997.

The report expected that the number of passengers could exceed 100,000 passengers during 1999 on the Aqaba routes with Tel Aviv, Hiafa and Gaza, and that the number of the scheduled trips the company is going to schedule amounts to 370.

Moreover, a source in the Jordanian company said that the number of trips between Amman and Aqaba is going to increase from one to 14 weekly, and between Amman and Tel Aviv from six to eight trips, between Amman and Gaza from two to three trips.
