Egypt, Qatar to cooperate in petroleum and energy

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Hamdi El-Banbi along with Lieutenant General Ahled Fadel, chief of the Suez Canal department, is to hold a formal visit to Qatar on February 12 - 15.
Egyptian diplomatic sources said this visit comes at the invitation of Qatari Minister of Energy, Industry Electricity and Water Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, clarifying that during this visit, they will tackle methods of Qatari - Egyptian cooperation in petroleum and energy, as well as the possibility of moving Qatari liquid gas to the European and American markets through the Suez Canal.
He also added that the visit has a special importance because it comes at a time when petroleum prices are witnessing continuous deterioration in world markets, where this matter took on a great importance in the coordination between the countries exporting petroleum.
