12 tourist projects on the Red Sea

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism has approved the implementation of a plan that includes 12 new tourist projects to increase the movement of internal tourism.
The projects include upgrading the waiting areas in Hurghada Airport in order to provide four times the current space, then adding a new passage to receive the increased tourism.
The plan covers plans for Hurghada, Marsa Alam, and El-Kasir, and the number of hotel rooms is Hurghada currently amounts to 8,000, which will rise to 28,000 rooms after 3,500 hotel units are built within the framework of building 4,600 hotel units in 1999 and 2000.
